Second Annual Women’s March Draws Crowds in U.S., Around the World
The second annual Women’s March, marking the anniversary of the massive 2017 march on January 21, 2017 that followed the inauguration of Donald Trump as president, drew huge crowds across the U.S. and around the world on this day.
The theme of the march was “Power to the Polls. An estimated 250 marches occurred in the U.S., including New York City (200,000 people), Chicago, Los Angeles (600,000), Omaha (2,500), Fargo, Tulsa, and Cody, Wyoming.
International marches occurred in Canada (38 rallies), the UK, Italy, Japan, and other countries.
